Camp Week 5 – already?

It’s Diversity Week at camp! Camp is half over and our campers have officially been “promoted” from “The Best Campers on the Planet!” to “The Best Campers in the Universe!” Camp is at capacity! Thanks to some additional funds that have been pledged, we were able to enroll 8 more campers from our waiting list! They are so happy to be here and the parents were so appreciative!

Our goal is to have a safe, fun summer, and limit summer learning loss! Additionally, there are many other things we do that impact the dignity and quality of life for our children and families. Here are some of the things we have done this summer:

Provided sneakers to three children whose shoes were TOO SMALL!
Provided summer reading books for several campers!
Provided swimsuits to six campers who didn’t have one.
Helped families acquire fans (or a/c where appropriate)
Supplied funds allergy medicine to one family whose camper was suffering seasonal allergies

Request of the Week:

    Sunscreen (especially the spray!)
T-shirts — white for tie-dye or crafts/others for “extras”! (Nothing inappropriate please!)
Many of our teens are in need of RIPTIX!
    Tennis balls
Tube socks (don’t have to match, holes are okay)

Quote of the Week:
