What We Do

Bring Hope. Find Hope.

SPNM offers every opportunity for members of the community to bring hope to South Providence and to find hope within South Providence. SPNM prides itself on being the community organization of South Providence that has always been there to adapt to the changing needs of our neighborhood. With our direct services and youth programs, we are able to serve hundreds of children and families from South Providence and the surrounding community throughout the year.

Our Louie’s Place youth program is a year round after-school and extended learning program for at-risk youth ages 5-18. The programs offered at Louie’s Place focus on leadership development, academic excellence, college and career exploration, “ReThink It” Conflict Resolution Initiatives and a full-day summer program, which includes job training for youth. Louie’s Place staff and volunteers work one on one with students, teachers and schools to ensure professional and academic success.

Our Direct Services programs include Community Outreach and our Food Pantry. Our food pantry services over 500 families on a weekly basis, and is the second largest food pantry in the state of Rhode Island. Our food pantry not only provides food for families on a weekly basis, but is stocked with staples to provide emergency food on a walk-in basis as well. Our community outreach program provides rental and utility assistance for qualifying families, as well as refers families in need to community partners who provide additional resources. We are firm believers of collaboration and utilizing community resources to work together for a common vision to bring hope and uplift our community.

Bring Hope. Find Hope.
