And the winners are..

Spelling Bee winners

Kingston United Congregational Church team 3. The Spelling Bee began with 12 teams representing churches and schools from around Rhode Island. Unfortunately the team representing the board of South Providence Neighborhood Ministries was the first to go. The remaining teams progressed through several rounds of words given by Channel 10’s Barbara Morse Silva and Congressman David Cicilline before hearing the dreaded word “wrong” by the expert judges. The final two teams Kingston UCC and Providence College battled valiantly until PC added one too many letters and was forced to sit.

Thank you to our food donors Panera Bread (Cranston), Edible Arrangements (Providence) Caserta’s (Providence) Dunkin Donuts (Eddy Street and Broad Street, Providence) Crugnale’s (Cranston), T’s Restaurant and Catering (Cranston) and Stop and Shop for providing refreshments following the festivities.

Thank you to all the teams who participated. We hope you had a good time. We know the money you raised will be well spent.
